2020 is Almost Here. Take a Moment to Reflect?

A new year is just a few days away. A new year. A new decade.

It’s the perfect time to take a step back and think about what you want from your career. And your life.

If your life is on track, this post may not be for you.

But if you’re living a comfortable life that's not the life you want.

If you’re concerned about another year of settling.

If you need something to guide and inspire you to go after what you want.

This video may be exactly what you need.

The Last Lecture

Known as The Last Lecture, it was recorded in 2007. A classic.

The speaker, Randy Pausch, was a professor at Carnegie Mellon. And this talk is his advice to students on their careers.

But it’s not just for students.

It’s lessons from the speaker’s life. Lessons he thinks are important to living the life you want. Having the career of your dreams.

And he knows a little something about that.

Randy was terminally ill when this video was recorded. He died in 2008. He was 47.

He titled the talk “Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams”.

It’s his story of how he accomplished this. And the lessons he learned that could help you accomplish it too.

Life gets back to normal next week. It’s the perfect time to hit pause, think about what you want and find the inspiration to make the year, the decade ahead all that you want it to be.
